An Evangelism Prayer Guide

So, I am reproducing here for you the prayer guide contained in Life Transformation Groups (LTGs).  Neil Cole developed LTGs, and they are about the best discipleship tool I have found.  They center on confessing sin in mutual accountability, reading Scripture, and praying for the lost. If you are interested in learning to lead one, let me know.

In praying for the lost, you identify people whose salvation you will pray for.  These are scriptural prompts for prayer.  It is my hope that you will use this! Always pray and never give up!

Lord I pray that You draw ________________ to Yourself (John 6:44)

I pray that _________________ will seek to know You (Acts 17:27)

I pray that _________________ will hear and believe the Word of God for what it really is (1 Thessalonians 2:13)

I ask You, Lord, to prevent Satan from blinding ____________________ to the truth (2 Corinthians 4:4; 2 Timothy 2:25-6)

Holy Spirit, I ask You to convict ________________ of sin and the need for Christ’s redemption (John 16:7-14)

I ask that You send someone who will share the Gospel with _________________ (Matthew 9:37-38)

I also ask that You will give me or someone else the opportunity, the courage and the right words to share with ____________ (Colossians 4:3-6)

Lord, I pray that ______________ will turn from sin and follow Christ (Acts 17:30-32, 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10)

Lord, I pray that _____________ will put all of his/her trust in Christ (John 1:12, 5:24)

Lord, I pray that _________________ will confess Christ as Lord, grow in faith and bear fruit for your glory (Romans 10:9-10, Colossians 2:6-7, Luke 8:15)
