Last night, House Group was wild. 16 of us… and yes we are preparing to reproduce!
We finished our time with the 7 Churches in Revelation. Moved on to the Penitential Psalms. We stay tightly focused on a short passage. I got put in the penalty box for bringing Isaiah 66:1-2 in to discussion! We stay focused on the short passage we read. And only 2 things:
What is the Spirit saying to you?
What are you going to do about it? This is the disciple-making question. If you wonder why you don’t see much evangelism and discipleship movement, it may be because you are allowing yourself and others to amass more knowledge about Scripture, thinking it’s enough to be able to discuss it.
So there we were, Psalm 6. Really powerful moments as we realized some of us really felt exactly what the Psalm described before the Lord delivered us. A few noted the sections that are “I” focused are down, but the parts about the Lord change all that.
We had pizza. Cupcakes. Apple turnovers. Coffee.
We prayed.
We worshipped.
And it hit me this morning: we are devoted to the apostles’ teaching, to fellowship, to breaking bread, to prayer.
A strategy no one would propose. Except the dudes in Acts.
So we see another Dirtbag strategy: read the Word, do what it says, and leave the results to God.

That a big “10-4!” Nothing better!
