I have spent a number of years pushing for church planters to be willing and able to raise funds, because church planting ain’t easy, and it ain’t free. But nobody has really taken it seriously. I’ve been to 6 GMC events in the past year across 5 states. As part of the megachurch& church growth movement for 18 years, I can definitely attest.. since covid, the church growth conferences are panicky and anxiety ridden. The various conferences in the Wesleyan world full of disaffiliated congregations (GMC and others..) ....FULL of faith. One guy told me it’s like Emmaus walk 52 weeks a year. So excited!
